Be Still and Wait

Not many verses have resounded in my heart and mind quite like this one. For years I have been reminded of these simple words through many trials I have faced. This year I have been struggling with uncertainty about my future. The verses prior speak on trusting in the Lord, delighting in Him and committing your ways to Him. Although I am far from doing this in a graceful manner, I have been able to learn so much more about what it means to rest in the Lord and trust Him. Being told to wait is not always fun… in fact it rarely is. But in that waiting and learning to continue to take the steps the Lord determines, I have found so much peace.

I am excited to share with you, my support team, that I will be switching gears soon. I will no longer be holding an official position on the BuildinGUATE team. I have been with BG for just under 3 years and have gained incredible experience in so many aspects. I am so grateful for the friendships I have developed and the countless opportunities to learn so much more about full-time ministry work.

So what will I be doing??  I believe that in these last few months of really seeking out what God has for me, that He has placed a fresh desire on my heart. It is my hope to work directly with people on a more intimate basis to guide them in having sustainable independence. I am in the planning stages now. There are a lot of great resources out there and I will be continuing to educate myself to provide the necessary guidance.

My next step in preparation for what God has put on my heart is studying more Spanish. In order to go deeper in relationships, I need to gain a higher level of communicating in Spanish. There are various options for language school.  My goal would be to study for at least a couple of months at 20 hours a week. The expected cost will be roughly $180/week, depending on the quality of teacher and the program offered.

How can you help? You can help by giving funds to go towards my Spanish classes. I am confident this is a worthwhile investment to reach much greater effectiveness in my future endeavors.

There are multiple ways for you to contribute:

I am still selling nail strips as well to raise the last little bit needed for my Israel trip at the end of October. I have about 2 weeks left to get all my funding together.  You can click below to check out some great Fall options that just released! Click here for NAILS!
